Wave: 4 - Analytics Foundation

Summary

Backfill card.created initial list fields only where inference is safe, so future flow analytics have cleaner event history.

Scope

  • Analyze existing activity records with missing toListName/toListPublicId on card.created.
  • Define safe inference rules from current card/list state and earliest move events.
  • Provide dry-run report before any data change.
  • Apply backfill only after owner approval.

Non-goals

  • No full analytics dashboard.
  • No rewriting uncertain historical events.
  • No destructive migration.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Dry-run shows count of safe, unsafe, and skipped events.
  • Backfill only updates events with high-confidence target list.
  • Uncertain events remain unchanged and are reported.
  • New card.created events continue to include initial list fields.

Tests / Smoke

  • Unit tests for inference rules.
  • Migration/backfill dry-run smoke on a copy/dev database.
  • Production backfill requires explicit owner approval.

Rollback

Keep backup/export of affected rows before mutation; rollback script restores previous payloads.
