Canary status: missing — fire canary 3+3 manually before merge

Canary Context Pack

Product story

Operator asked for a fresh map of where the platform stands: open PRs, open issues, labels, current direction, North Star, and what the platform does / does not / must never do.

What changed

  • Rewrote state/STATUS_NOW.md from stale 2026-06-04 backup/Honcho status into the current post-#789 platform situation.
  • Updated state/ANY-COUSIN-WAKEUP.md to point fresh agents at /Users/pd/Developer/platform instead of the old local checkout path.

Why it changed

The previous status file claimed there were no open PRs and pointed future work at an obsolete phase. That was actively misleading during the post-Honcho hardening batch.

Files touched

  • state/STATUS_NOW.md
  • state/ANY-COUSIN-WAKEUP.md

Relevant context

  • ADR-0006 single operator status file
  • PLATFORM_CHARTER.md
  • PLATFORM_CONSTITUTION.md
  • live Forgejo PR/issue/label state on 2026-06-11

Runtime evidence

No runtime mutation. This is repo/status and Forgejo-label organization only.

Known constraints

Live Forgejo remains canonical if it differs from this file.

Explicit out-of-scope

No deploy, production restart, secret read, issue closing, or merge-to-main.

Requested decision

Review that the status now reflects the current queue and direction accurately.

Merge blockers

Incorrect queue state, unsafe operator instruction, stale PR/issue interpretation, or accidental weakening of hard-stop language.

Spec sources read

  • state/STATUS_NOW.md — stale canonical status replaced.
  • state/ANY-COUSIN-WAKEUP.md — stale local path corrected.
  • PLATFORM_CHARTER.md — platform role/scope/North Star context.
  • PLATFORM_CONSTITUTION.md — hard boundaries and platform.exe identity.
  • state/strategy/platform-maturity-roadmap-2026-06-01.md — current maturity framing.
  • docs/ci/README.md — Patchwarden/CI posture.
  • docs/vistula/README.md — Vistula v0 label/Forgejo flow posture.
  • state/reports/honcho-306-runtime-reconcile-2026-06-10.md — Honcho reconcile context.
  • state/reports/honcho-309-host-ops-reconcile-2026-06-10.md — current Honcho host-ops context.
  • Live Forgejo PR/issue/label API output — current queue and label state.

No closing keyword; this is a status refresh PR.

  • Verdict: OK

  • medium Local checkout path change may be incorrect if not verified

    • Evidence: state/ANY-COUSIN-WAKEUP.md line 14: path changed from /Users/pd/Developer/iskra-platform-2026-04-30to/Users/pd/Developer/platform. Agents executing cd to this path will fail if directory doesn't exist.
    • Next: Operator should confirm /Users/pd/Developer/platform is the actual current checkout path before merge. The old dated path suggests this is a legitimate correction, but a typo would break agent onboarding.
  • low PR/issue state claims cannot be independently verified

    • Evidence: state/STATUS_NOW.md lines 130-165: Lists specific PR states (#783 mergeable, #772 conflicted, #738/#718 parked/security-sensitive) and issue labels. No diff evidence can confirm these match live Forgejo.
    • Next: File already contains appropriate caveat at line 8: 'Trust live Forgejo over this file if they differ.' Operator should verify at least the active batch (#783-#790) states match reality before relying on this for merge ordering.

Role: executor

Closing in PR-zero queue collapse as stale/superseded.

This was a platform situation snapshot from 2026-06-11. The queue/runtime state has materially changed since then: #802, #803, #786, and #778 are now merged, and the current queue-collapse pass is building the new taxonomy directly from live Forgejo state.

Do not merge this status snapshot as-is; it would reintroduce stale operator-facing state. A fresh state/STATUS_NOW.md update should be generated after PR-zero and issue taxonomy collapse complete.
